There’s a ton of history here too. The Casino is forever tied to The Beatles, and for good reason. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison all played Casinos, and that sound is baked right into this guitar’s DNA. You hear it in the way it handles chords and in how it breaks up when you push it.
The P-90 style pickups are a huge part of that sound. Bright and punchy, but still warm, with just enough bite when you dig in. Clean, they’re chimey and articulate. Turn things up and they get gritty in a really musical way. Paired with the full-hollow construction, it all feels very old-school in the best way.
Spec-wise, it keeps things classic. A laminated maple body, a comfortable neck, simple controls, and a finish that looks worn in right out of the case. The Olive Drab color fits this guitar perfectly. A little rough around the edges, and totally different from the usual sunbursts.
One of the best parts of the Casino is the price point. For what you’re getting, this guitar is incredibly approachable. It’s an easy entry into the hollow-body world and a great way to get into that vintage-inspired sound without spending a fortune.
