It is built in Japan with the exact same high quality components you expect from Ibanez, giving you a legit circuit at a fraction of the size and a fraction of the price. A TS9 is literally 25% more expensive.
Looking at what is under the hood, the specs on this little box are incredibly impressive. Ibanez didn’t water this down because they packed a genuine TS808 circuit layout right into the chassis to give you that classic, smooth overdrive. The controls are simple and intuitive, featuring standard full sized Drive and Level knobs, alongside a smaller Tone knob at the top to shape your high end. Unlike some of its bigger brothers, the Mini also features True Bypass switching, ensuring your signal stays completely clean and unaltered when the pedal is turned off.
For me, the Tube Screamer is my all time favorite pedal. To be honest, I probably won’t be using this exact mini pedal myself because my board space priority already goes directly to my full sized Tube Screamer, but that’s just me. Still, I think it is so cool how they managed to pack all that juice into a mini version.
